Eli is a partner and financial advisor and has been with Vaught, Spangler & Associates since 2012. He grew up in Littleton, Colorado with his parents and his brother Cody. He began his education at the University of Colorado in 2009, then moved to Virginia in 2012 where he continued at Longwood University. Eli joined the business in an administrative role before eventually becoming licensed in 2019; now he holds Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses through LPL, and maintains insurance licenses for Life and Health. He has been a partner in the business since 2020.
Eli likes to help clients by taking the complexity off their shoulders so they can “zoom-out” and focus on the bigger picture. He loves when a client’s eyes light up as they learn new ways to think about their family’s financial future. He takes the lead on investment research and investment portfolio construction, but all final investment decisions are always up to the client.
Eli lives in Chesterfield with his wife of 4 years, Emily, and their rescue dogs Charlie and Moose. Eli is passionate about Boys to Men Mentoring of Virginia, where he serves on the Board of Directors, on the Finance Committee, and as a Mentor to young men in Chesterfield County. In his free time, he enjoys camping, canoeing, fantasy football, and visiting with his family in Roanoke and Lynchburg. He travels back west as often as he can, and his favorite place in the world is Yellowstone National Park.
